See Photos: YWCA Family Center Playground Reopens for Residents

YWCA Columbus reopened its Family Center playscape for residents on Tuesday, June 18, following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony.

After months of closures due to the renovation, YWCA unveiled the newly improved and expanded play spaces, which will provide a secure and fun environment for the children in residence at the Family Center and those enrolled in childcare at Safe & Sound. The various playscapes feature swings, slides, climbing structures, basketball facilities, and a hockey court. Additionally, there are shaded areas with benches where parents can relax and observe their children.

Thanks to generous support from our loyal donors, the new and improved YWCA Family Center playground will officially reopen on July 11, 2024, after its soft reopening for residents last week.

YWCA will host a reopening celebration at its Family Center, featuring food, live music, games, and other fun activities.

Please help celebrate the new play spaces with us by donating toys and other playground equipment, and check out some photos from last week’s soft opening below!
