View Event Photos: YWCA Family Center Playground Officially Open

Thanks to generous support from our loyal donors, YWCA Columbus reopened its Family Center playscape on Thursday, July 11, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with YWCA staff, residents and our major supporters, including Nationwide, the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation, Installed Building Products (IBP), and the Champion Cares Foundation.

After months of closures due to the renovation, YWCA unveiled its newly improved and expanded play spaces to residents in June. The spaces - which feature swings, slides, climbing structures, basketball facilities, and a hockey court - provide a secure and fun environment for the children in residence at the Family Center and those enrolled in childcare at Safe & Sound. Additionally, there are shaded areas with benches where parents can relax and observe their children.

Please help celebrate the new play spaces with us by donating toys and other playground equipment, and check out some photos from last week’s soft opening below!
