YWCA Reacts to Columbus’ Zoning Code Updates

YWCA Columbus applauds Columbus City Council’s update to the city’s zoning code, knowing the passage of this legislation is an integral step toward solving the region’s growing housing crisis.

As a direct service provider for families facing homelessness, YWCA Columbus knows firsthand the issues that housing instability creates both for individuals and for our community.

Beyond the zoning code overhaul, more work lies ahead to ensure that future housing will benefit all families, including those most in need of affordable options — until every Central Ohioan can live in peace, freedom, and dignity.
